Trade Card Place Auction 166 opened on Thursday, September 2nd and begins closing on Wednesday, September 15th at 9:00 PM Central Time. After that time any lot not receiving a bid increase during a 15-minute period will be closed at the end of that period, and any lot receiving a bid increase during a 15-minute period will have its closing time extended by 15 minutes from the time of the increase.

This auction consists of 85 newly added lots plus 18 unsold lots from the previous auction whose minimum opening bids were reduced by 7%.

The Lots Offered in Auction 166 can be selected for viewing in any of the following four ways:

  • All lots, sorted by how recently they were added (latest to earliest)
  • 10% of the lots at a time, sorted by how recently they were added
  • All lots in one of 62 categories, sorted by how recently they were added
  • A single lot, as specified by its lot number

To view the lot(s) of interest to you:

  1. Select a group of lots or category from this menu

or enter a single lot number in this field    (165.20 for example).

  2. And then    or   your selection.

  3. Please Note: The problem described in item 4 below appears to have been solved with Apple's release of Safari 5.0 on June 7th. Safari 5.0 is a free download for Mac and Windows; the requirements call for Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8 or later, Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2 or later, Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.

  4. Users of Mac Browser Safari 4.0.x (any version of Safari 4) might have problems with the animated auction lots. They might either open after a long delay or not at all. This problem does not occur with other browsers or with earlier versions of Safari. A "bug" report has been submitted to Apple.

    However
, those affected can "work around" this problem by (1) opening the image in the usual way by clicking on the displayed Lot Number, (2) closing the image in the usual way by clicking on the displayed Lot Number, and (3) opening the image again in the usual way by clicking on the displayed Lot Number. The image should then animate normally.

The current bidding status of each selected lot will be shown together with the minimum bid needed to increase the bid on that lot. Note that by bidding less than the minimum bid on a lot you can "bookmark" that lot for watching with LotWatcher without becoming the high bidder.
