Women

One subject of trade cards in this category is women, young to old, who are not doing anything that would cause the card to placed into some other subject category (e.g., ironing clothes). Many trade cards can be found that show attractive girls or women who aren't doing anything other than looking pretty.

Another subject is the "liberated" woman who has broken from the traditional roles of Victorian housewife and mother to exert her independence. Cards having this theme are relatively scarce.
